LATCHFORD Albion’s armed forces double header was a success with more than 300 spectators supporting the day.

Albion’s seconds showed heart but the speed and fitness of the Parachute Regiment was too much and the visitors ended up victors 46-12.

The game between the first team and The Army was much closer, and a last minute penalty stole the win for the guests 26-24.

Albion try scorers were Dave Levenston, Dave Yii, Danny Brown and Martin Whitehead, with with goals added by Luke Hickman.

For The Army, tries were scored by Mick Hoyle, two, Christian Wooler and Mike Harrison, while Danny Hunter kicked five goals.
