AN under par performance from Latchford saw them fall to defeat on Saturday against Hindpool.
Albion spilled the ball in the opening set, with the visitors quickly going two tries up.
Latchford pulled level with debutant Luke Hickman latching on to brother Ryan Hickman's delicate grubber to score followed by Lewis Wightman converting a captain Danny Brown effort.
Hindpool regained the lead before Adam Wood crossed but the visitors went in ahead.
Brown reduced the deficit once more but Latchford could not stop the visitors pulling away.
Coach Lee Smith praised the contribution of 16-year-old Daniel Webster.
Albion visit Wigan St Judes on Saturday in Division One.
