Woolston Rovers A 8 Orrell St James 20
ROVERS put in a spirited display against unbeaten league leaders Orrell St James in North West Men's League Division Two.
After turning around 8-0 down, Woolston mounted plenty of pressure in the opening 20 minutes of the second period but failed to capitalise.
They conceded twice more, the second one after kicking dead from the restart, but they refused to give up and in the final 10 minutes Jack Holt and Shane Duffy crossed for tries Best for Rovers were Bobby McGregor, Harry Files and Mike Ward.
