WOOLSTON Rovers head coach John Fieldhouse hopes hard work in pre-season will bear fruit when his side kick off their National Conference League Division Three campaign.

Rovers begin with a home game against Waterhead at Monks Sports Club on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.

“I have been really pleased with the effort the lads have put in since we started training at the end of October and we will be striving to get off to a winning start against a Waterhead side that were in Division Two last year,” said the coach.

“I am sure it is going to be a keenly-fought encounter, but I am confident if we stick to our game plan we will get the right result.”

Crosfields, with Tony Benson in charge, also start their National Conference League Division Three campaign on Saturday when they visit Thornhill Trojans.
