THE Kingstone Press National Conference League will host a Warrington derby on Thursday when Woolston Rovers make the short trip to Crosfields for their Division Three fixture.

Rovers had a disappointing defeat at table-topping Featherstone Lions last Saturday but will be looking to bounce back immediately at Crosfields.

“The final result was not what we had hoped for although we knew that with so many players missing from the side it was going to be tough for us,” head coach Lee Westwood said.

“Featherstone have been in blistering form so far this season and are currently unbeaten but we had hoped to have performed much better than we did.”

Rovers will be now looking to move on from the defeat and get back to winning ways in the local derby.

“We will now forget about that game and look forward to what promises to be a very entertaining encounter against Crosfields,” Westwood added.

“They have been in fine form so far this year and had a narrow victory over us at Woolston earlier in the season.”

“That game could have gone either way and I am sure that this game will be no different. We will prepare well and hopefully we should have a few bodies back in contention for places.”

“It is vitally important that we get back to winning ways as soon as possible and what better place to do that than at the home of your closest rivals.”
