WOOLSTON Rovers will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat by Coventry Bears when they travel to Wakefield to face Eastmoor Dragons in the Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Three.

Rovers were subjected to a late narrow defeat by Coventry and head coach Lee Westwood will be demanding that his players respond immediately with an improved showing at Eastmoor.

He said: “I was bitterly disappointed that we contrived to throw away a game that we were in control of for 70 minutes.

“We need to put that out of our minds and focus on the Eastmoor game which we know will not be easy, trips over to Yorkshire are always difficult so we must ensure that we prepare properly in the week and take what we do in training into the game.

“If we do that I am confident that we have enough quality in the side to get the win.

“Eastmoor were relegated from Division Two at the end of last season and will be keen to bounce straight back so we will need to be fully focussed.

“Our discipline in the second half on Saturday cost us two league points, we cannot afford to make the same mistakes again this week.”

The coach leaves Monks Sports Club at 11.15am and any supporters wishing to travel can contact Nikki Whalley on 07889170895 to secure their seat.
