PADDY Birmingham produced an excellent day’s deliveries at the Grange to win the Warrington and District Seniors Bowler of the Year award.

The entertaining final saw Birmingham pip CSC rival Brian Taylor to the main prize with a 15-11 win, after they had defeated William Bailey and Bernard Carroll respectively in the semi finals.

Carroll was most aggrieved for not reaching the final after pipping Sam Jackson 15-12 in a brilliantly entertaining quarter-final match, as he fell 15-14 to eventual runner-up Taylor in a tightly-fought last four clash.
