Garratt crowned player of the year

JOHN Garratt was crowned Warrington Catholic Bowls League’s player of the year, after defeating St Josephs clubmate Joe Lasko 51-11 at St Oswald’s.
Lasko was ahead early on, but Garratt came back strongly to complete a comfortable comeback.
The Pairs competition was won by Neil Simpson’s team, who pipped a narrow 21-17 final victory against Danny Newton’s outfit.
