A NEW season has started in the Warrington Snooker League.

Champions Irlam Catholic A had a shock 4-3 loss at Roosters C with Mike Feeney having a 44 break in his winning frame.

Earlestown Cons showed they are going to be a team to be feared, beating Alford D 6-1. After relegation from Division One there were 5-2 defeats for GTBL B and Bridgewater Club, while another relegated side GESM B won 5-2 against Alford B.

Last year’s Division Three champions Rylands B beat Deaf Social A 5-2.

The Division Three highlight was the 53 break for Mike Roylance but it was not enough to stop Roosters D losing 7-0 at Kings Club B.
