Weekend topped by trophy joy

WARRIORS of Warrington lifted the ‘top club trophy’ at the Satellites of Macclesfield level two open meet.

Individually, Brendan Spencer had two successful days of racing and won the award for top boy.

Bethany Young also performed strongly and was rewarded for her consistently high level of performance by finishing third in the girls’ category.

Fifty-one swimmers ranging from aged nine to 17 sealed a high number of first-place finishes.

On day one, multiple event winners included William Camden, Lewis McGhee, Aaron Kirchin-Brown and Spencer.

They continued in the same rich vein of form 24 hours later, complemented by further stand-out performances from Bradley Harrison, James Ross and Caitlin McNicholas.
