LOUISE Blizzard hopes to help Belgrave Harriers win the London Marathon team competition.

The 36-year-old Warrington mum, a foresic services officer with Cheshire Police, will be tackling the event for the 18th time on Sunday.

“I’m hoping to be among the top British finishers this year after finishing seventh in the National Half Marathon Championships last month in Wilmslow in 1hr 21mins,” said Blizzard, who lives in Fearnhead.

“I also won a road race in Portugal in March while warm-weather training out there.

“Belgrave have a strong team and are aiming to win the team race after finishing second last year.”

Blizzard, whose link to the Belgrave club comes from working for Thames Valley Police for 10 years, has a personal best 2hrs 54mins for the London Marathon in 2007.
