Warrington Athletics Club bronze medals at North of England Cross Country Championships

WARRINGTON Athletics Club returned from the North of England Cross Country Championships at Pontefract Park Racecourse with individual and team bronze medals.

Daniel Evans collected the club’s only individual bronze on the day, finishing strongly in the final 800m of the under 15s boys’ event to comfortably earn a medal.

The team bronze medal was won by the under 15s girls, who were led home by Harriet Knowles-Jones in eighth and backed up by Kate Merrill (27th), Holly Tidd (36th) and Lizzie Smith (41st) to accrue a bronze medal-winning total of 112 points.
