TWO Swimmers from Warriors of Warrington Swimming Club achieved national qualifying times at the ASA North West Regional Winter Championships at Manchester Aquatics at the weekend.

Jordan Barlow, aged 14, posted national qualifying times in both his 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle events.

Aisha Thornton, aged 16, achieved gold medals in both the open and junior sections of the 1,500m freestyle event, clocking 35 seconds within her national qualifying time.

Rebecca Pye, aged 13, competed in her first regional open final and finished seventh in the 200m backstroke event.

The weekend also saw several swimmers achieving personal best times after a hard week in training during the half-term holidays.
