WARRINGTON Rowing Club won eight medals in their first ‘head’ race of the winter season.

Chris Johnstone led the way in the Runcorn Rowing Club Autumn Head, achieving the ‘fastest men’s sculler’ title with a time of 18mins 43secs.

Results. Men’s, junior 15 single scull: Ollie Brierley, 9mins 37secs. Junior single scull: Chris Johnstone, 18mins 43secs. Junior double scull: Sam Edwards, Josh Goswell, 18mins 4secs. Senior four single scull: Luke Balcerak, 20mins 27secs. Women’s, junior 14 single scull: Holly McMullen, 10mins 21secs. Junior 14 double scull: Suzie Clarke, Claudia Wright, 10mins 3secs. Junior 14 quadruple scull: Caitlin Anderson, Louise Bailey, Hannah Furnell, Beth Laidlaw, cox Kirsten Mair, 9mins 47secs. Senior three single scull: Kate McQuillian, 22mins 2secs.
