Good news for injured Wood

PAUL Wood has revealed in his exclusive Warrington Guardian blog that tests have shown he suffered no major damage to his shoulder on Sunday.

Wood was making his return against Catalans Dragons after a six-month lay-off following a shoulder reconstruction.

But the forward had to leave the field just six minutes into his comeback, seemingly in agony after dislocating the same shoulder.

Wood was rushed to Whiston Hospital and Wolves boss Paul Cullen said after the game that the injury 'didn't look good', amid fears that the Wiganer could face another long lay-off.

But Wood went for tests yesterday, Monday, and reveals the outcome in his latest blog for the Warrington Guardian website before thanking fans for their support during the past two days.

ive just herd that woody is only going 2 be out for 6 weeks that is great news like most of the wire fans i was thinkng are we going 2 see him in a wire top again so hearing this news as made me feel over the moon cos he is a top player roll on 6 weeks cos hes a top player carnt wait 4 him 2 be back on the field

I think Woody has got to face up to the fact that he is gonna have to take it easy and not go in too hard with the shoulder.

As a Warrington fan of 44 years I have seen players careers ruined by coming back from injury too soon.
