JOE Philbin has been chosen as The Wire's man of the match from Saturday's Wembley defeat by Warrington Guardian readers.
The interchange prop came on early after Ben Westwood suffered a bang to the head but made a decent enough impact in the defeat to Catalans Dragons.

Philbin earned 44 per cent of the vote, which was enough for him to beat Toby King (31 per cent) into second spot.
