Betfred co-founder Fred Done shares his thoughts on this weekend's Challenge Cup Final and the latest Premier League action

WHAT a chance it will be this weekend for Warrington to land some more silverware, and hopefully kick-start what has already been a successful start to life under Steve Price.

Last Friday’s loss to Castleford was disappointing but it was to be expected, with the opportunity to land a ninth Challenge Cup proving to be a mild distraction/selection headache.

The Wire will travel in huge numbers to Wembley, and it is this vocal backing that I believe will get them over the line against Catalans.

Warrington are 4/9 favourites to grab their first Challenge Cup since 2012, and that’s good value in my opinion.

I wouldn’t write off the 15/8 French outfit just yet, but there’s something magical about the travelling primrose and blue army.

It is that passion that I believe will cheer them on to another cup success.

They’ve dropped off the pace in the league of recent however, and that may be a worry to some who believe Warrington can get over their Grand Final hoodoo and finally get their hands on the Betfred Super League trophy.

Those confident can still get 6/1 for Warrington to win both the Challenge Cup and Grand Final, however – can Price write himself into Wolves folklore by doing so?

Meanwhile, over in the more spherical game, it was Manchester City who were stars of the weekend as they ran in six against sorry Huddersfield Town.

I know it’s just the one game, but that was more than enough for punters to go in again on the already short-priced City.

They’ve shortened slightly from 8/13 to 4/7 to be outright Premier League winners come May, and who would bet against that?

Sergio Aguero weighed in with a hat-trick and David Silva rounded off a five-star performance with a goal.

What’s scary is Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling are still to come back. It’ll take something very special to derail Guardiola’s high-speed Blues.

In the other blue corner of the north west, Everton got their first win of the season at home to Southampton.

The Toffees’ fully deserved the three points thanks to a Theo Walcott strike and yet another goal from Richarlison.

I must admit I was shocked at the fee involved for the Brazilian youngster, but he looks worthy of every single penny after netting his third in two games.

Marco Silva continues to work wonders with the 21-year-old, and he could prove a snip at £40 million plus if he can fire Everton up the table.

Liverpool made it back-to-back wins in a gritty affair with Crystal Palace under the lights, with Virgil Van Dijk proving an absolute colossus at the back.

They seem to have fixed their defensive and goalkeeping issues and they have a real platform to challenge City for the title this season.

Elsewhere, the less said about Manchester United’s trip to the Seaside of Brighton, the better.

I’m all for backing the manager, but Mourinho isn’t winning anyone over with this style of football.

They’re now 20/1 for the Premier League title, and even the most passionate of Red Devils fans surely won’t fancy them at that price.

They’re a world away from the noisy neighbours at the Etihad, and that really pains me to say!
