WOOLSTON Rovers will meet Crosfields in the final of the Stuart Middleton Foundation Warrington Cup.

Rovers advanced to the final with a dramatic extra-time win over Latchford Albion last Wednesday, with Will Chadwick their saviour at Victoria Park.

His penalty with the last kick of normal time forced golden point and it was his try in the extra period that won it for Mal Holt’s team.

Dec Leonard, Conner Muir, Glyn Roberts and Justin Becker were also on the scoresheet for Woolston, with Craig Mather, Jack Phillips, Lewis Johnstone and Carwyn Chamberlain, twice, crossing for Latchford

Rovers and Soap will meet in the final at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Wednesday, August 22.

Meanwhile, Woolston Rovers A and Crosfields A will face off tonight for a place in the Warrington Alliance Cup semi-finals.

The winners of tonight's game at Monks Sports Club will face Rylands Sharks in the last four for the right to contest the final against Burtonwood Bridge.

Having beaten Latchford Albion A in the quarter-finals, Bridge swept aside Culcheth Eagles 38-0 in the last four at Victoria Park.

Lewis Scott and Will Weir both scored twice, with Craig Holcroft, Almer Salvilla and Oli Morrissey also crossing for Lee Cunningham’s side.
