BRYSON Goodwin left The Halliwell Jones Stadium on crutches after picking up an injury during tonight’s draw with Catalans Dragons.

The New Zealander was withdrawn in the second half of the 22-22 stalemate having initially tried to play on.

His last act on the field was an important one, getting the vital touch to ground the ball in-goal as David Mead looked set to score from a grubber kick.

Wire head coach Steve Price says the extent of Goodwin’s injury is unclear at this stage.

“We’re not too sure on Bryson right now. He’s picked up a bit of a knee injury,” he said.

“It was a big collision he had in defence there.

“He pulled off a big play getting it to nullify David Mead.

“He is a speed machine, but Bryson made a big play in the game to stop that try.”
