CHRIS Hill and Stefan Ratchford have been named in England’s 19-man squad that will travel to Denver to take on New Zealand.
The Wolves pair were both involved in Wayne Bennett’s squad for last year’s Rugby League World Cup along with teammates Kevin Brown – now retired from international duty – and the injured Ben Currie.
Mike Cooper and Daryl Clark were also part of England’s elite performance squad but will not be involved in the game at Sports Authority Field.
There are three uncapped players – St Helens pair Luke Thompson and Tommy Makinson and Hull FC’s Jake Connor – in the squad for the game on Saturday, June 23.
England squad: John Bateman, George Burgess, Sam Burgess, Tom Burgess, Jake Connor, James Graham, Ryan Hall, Chris Hill, Jonny Lomax, Tommy Makinson, Jermaine McGillvary, Sean O’Loughlin, Mark Percival, Stefan Ratchford, James Roby, Luke Thompson, Gareth Widdop, George Williams, Elliot Whitehead.
Massive honour as always to be named in an @England_RL squad. Congrats to everyone who’s been selected and a few boys very unlucky to miss out! 🏉🤓
