HERE is a look at how Wire fans have reacted to Friday’s 34-30 defeat to Castleford Tigers.

Warrington Guardian website:

Orford Hall: I was surprised that SP didn't put Ben Pomeroy in the mix with Mitch Brown just to lift the intensity levels surely the efforts last week sapped alot of the players.

As for Dec Patton, I see a 50 /50 player he knocks out some good ball then to me he makes some shocking decisons and plays. I got the impression Bryson was not impressed with him.

As for Harvey, I think brown organises him very well but when he went off he looked out of the running. I felt Cas had more energy, but Wire made it hard from the beginning admittedly a lucky second Cas try but they totally missed their chance to put the game to bed, Thalers reffing was poor as well, coupled with Wire poor plays.

Some standouts were Clark, Charnley, Goodwin, Ratchford and Brown.

pennstate: Your words are absolutely right and highlight the importance of Brown to the team. I could see Goodwin wasn't happy in his interview. It will be interesting to see how Price responds at Wakefield. Take away Thalers influence by pulling your arms away after the tackle, because he does tend to penalise players e.g. Hill more than others!

Perthwire: In oz rules AFL, if you have a bad game you are dropped the following week If that was the case then Livett and Patton would pay the consequence. My man of match is Ratchford.

Sads1959: Penalty count was through the roof again, you can't beat quality teams giving away stupid, needless pens.

Warrington Wolves – Warrington Guardian Facebook page:

Nick Forsyth: Poor attitude. The players thought they had won it by putting their boots on. Castleford had the right attitude and desire.

John Knox: Sadly we were out enthused. Nothing to do with energy levels. We lack a kicker. Defence was woeful. However, we are still third in the table so no panic

Keith Michael Forsyth: Not good enough warrington. No good knocking Wigan out of the cup if you can't back it up a week later!

Jamie Chambers: Opportunity missed to keep Cas at bay and also capitalise on Wigan’s loss the previous day. Very disappointing but fair play to Cas.

Mark Lythgoe: We never recovered from Kevin Brown going off. Cas wanted it more.

Richard Spiers: Goal kicking let us down. At home we should be able to kick them over from every angle on the park. No excuses. Loads of time to practice every angle.

Daniel Murphy: Guys look at the positives we scored 30 points... that's no mean feat, IF we defend like we have been recently we walk out of there with a comfortable win, defence let us down tonight.
