THE Wire produced a superb second-half comeback to get back to winning ways by seeing off Hull FC.

Harvey Livett, Kevin Brown, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Josh Charnley and Ryan Atkins crossed as the hosts stormed back from a torrid first period at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

They trailed at the break as Dean Hadley and Mickey Paea crossed to give the Black and Whites a comfortable half-time lead.

The hosts got off to the worst possible start as Hull scored with their first real attack of the game.

Liam Harris’ kick to the corner was lost forward by Tom Lineham and the loose ball was shipped out for Hadley to cross.

Things did not immediately improve as Paea scored a try that would have infuriated Price.

Danny Houghton was allowed way too much time to dart from dummy-half and he sent Paea crashing over between the posts.

The Wire struggled to get anything going in attack, with their game plagued by fundamental errors and silly penalties given away.

They created two chances of note, with Josh Charnley having a try ruled out for a forward pass before Lineham was denied by a superb Jack Logan tackle in the corner.

The first half ended with a flashpoint as home skipper Chris Hill claimed he was bitten by FC winger Hakim Miloudi, but referee Gareth Hewer incensed the home crowd by only putting the incident on report.

Wolves needed a good start to the second half, and they duly got one.

Livett picked a good line to crash onto Brown’s pass and celebrate his new contract with another try.

Brown then went from provider to scorer with some brave last-tackle play as he ran the ball and shook off three tacklers to score.

The Wire were playing with much more urgency, with the depleted visitors struggling to live with them.

The comeback was completed when Murdoch-Masila picked up from dummy-half and powered past the Hull defence.

Warrington were not finished there, however, and a sweeping move to the right edge saw Atkins draw Miloudi in and send Charnley over for his 199th career try.

The home side’s veteran centre got himself on the scoresheet with time ticking down after selling the Hull defence an outrageous dummy to cross.
