Warrington 34 Douglas 10
WARRINGTON ended the season in fine fashion with a six-try victory over Isle of Man side Douglas.
However, coach Andy Roberts said they would have finished higher than eighth in the North One West had they played in a similar manner for the majority of the season.
Nathan Beesley notched 14 points of his own to help Warrington on their way at Walton Lea Road as he scored two tries and two conversions.
Christian White, Tom Wood, Tom Arnold and Tom McNeff scored further tries for Roberts’ side.
“It was a good way to end the season,” the Warrington coach said.
“We really showed our pace and creativity in the second half.
“If we had played with the same intensity and commitment all season, I am sure we could have finished much further up the table.”
