STEVE Price will have at least one extra player to call on when Warrington Wolves head to Widnes Vikings on Friday seeking their first win of the new campaign.

Former Wigan Warriors prop forward Dom Crosby is fit and likely to feature in the 19-man squad when it is named tomorrow.

“Dom comes into consideration this week,” said Wolves’ head coach.

“He had shoulder surgery in the pre-season. It’s been a rehab process and he’s a little ahead of schedule, which is credit to our high performance staff, medical team and Dom himself in being able to work extremely hard.”

Tyrone Roberts, The Wire’s marquee scrum half who missed the 20-6 loss at Huddersfield Giants, did not train today.

“He’s got a bit of a niggle with his knee. We’ll know more later on in the week,” said Price.

“It’s been an ongoing issue since arriving over here. We feel we’re getting on top of it.

“It’s important we get it right. Our main priority is to get it right, strengthen the muscles around it, and get it switching on. He’ll be ready to go after that.”

Powerhouse forward Sitaleki Akauola will again not feature this week.

“He is one to two weeks away,” said Price.

“He had off-season shoulder surgery back in Australia and he’s very close now.

“Other than that, we’re all pretty good.”
