WARRINGTON Town manager Paul Carden has bolstered his attacking options with the signing of experienced striker Billy Paynter.
In a lengthy Football League career, the 33-year-old frontman has turned out for the likes of Hull City, Leeds United and Swindon Town.
Paynter was playing in League Two as recently as last season and left Hartlepool United after their relegation to the National League in May.
The striker is in contention to make his debut in Tuesday’s FA Trophy replay against Tamworth at Cantilever Park Yellows have also brought in Dutch winger Desire Simson, who made his debut off the bench in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with the Lambs.
Simson made a handful of appearances for the club’s reserves earlier this season.
