BENJAMIN Jullien has left Warrington Wolves with immediate effect.

The French international has been transferred to Catalans Dragons for an undiscosed fee.

Jullien impressed in Wolves' second row while Ben Currie was injured during 2017 and the 22-year-old further enhanced his growing reputation in three Rugby League World Cup matches.

He had 12 months left on his contract but requested a release.

Wolves chief executive Karl Fitzpatrick said: "Ben and his representative explained that he did not wish to return to Warrington as he needed to be closer to his family.

"Although we discussed a number of options Ben simply wanted to return to France.

"We respect Ben’s decision to be closer to his family and subsequently agreed a transfer fee with Catalans. We wish Ben all the best at his new club."
