A WARRINGTON title win was celebrated at the first show put on by Latchford-based Warrior Muay Thai.

Daniel Bonner from the town's Supremacy Fight Academy secured the World Ring Sports title at 73KG after a great battle with Stockport's Chris Donaldson, sealing his victory by winning on points.

Despite a number of well-executed sweeps to the canvas and a number of high kicks, Warrior Muay Thai's Ste Watts lost on points to Harrogate's Ciaran Whitehouse, who capitalised on his height advantage.

He kept Watts at bay while landing a flurry of knees to take the World Ring Sports title at 79KG.

Knockout of the night was awarded to Lloyd Price of Warrior Muay Thai for an explosive head kick within 16 seconds of the first round of his bout.

Twenty-six fighters went into battle at the sold-out show at Alford Hall.

The club are planning for a second Extreme Warriors show early next year.
