WARRINGTON sisters made their mark on the Cheshire County Badminton Championships.
Kirtti Sathyanathan, 14, was a victor at senior and under 17s level, while Risheka, seven, achieved success in the under 11s age group.
The sisters, who live in Chapelford, are both members of Vida Badminton Club.
Kirtti, a student at Blue Coat Grammar School in Wavertree, Liverpool, won the under 17s girls’ doubles with Annabelle Bellis and came runner-up in both the mixed doubles, with Anshul Ramavath, and the singles.
She then followed that up with victory alongside Helen Davies in the senior women’s doubles.
Last year she had won the under 15s junior singles and doubles, the latter with Jemma Cave.
Risheka, a student at St Philip Westbrook CE Primary School, triumphed in the under 11s girls’ doubles with Neha Sreeram and in the mixed doubles alongside Arnav Ramavath, while also taking the runners-up spot in the singles.
The junior championships took place at Christleton Leisure Centre, the seniors at Ellesmere Port Sports Village.
