PAUL Carden says last night’s 2-2 draw at Lancaster City was “undoubtedly two points dropped” for his Warrington Town side.

Yellows were pegged back twice by Gavin Clark goals at the Giant Axe after Ruben Jerome and Josh Hine had given them the lead, with the second equaliser coming deep into injury time.

“You have to say its undoubtedly two points dropped. We should be seeing the game out,” Carden said.

“I’m more disappointed with the build-up to the goal as we didn’t control the ball in midfield. It broke away from us and their left-back has put one in the top corner with his right foot.

“The first goal you can say is a bit unlucky as it got a deflection, but we’d create enough chances by that point.

“They were cheering as if they’d won the league back in the dressing room. That’s a marker of how other teams see us I guess.

“It was a quiet coach home. We were angry and disappointed not to have won the game but again, it’s a marker of where we are.

“A point away from home is a decent result, but the fact we’re disappointed with that shows how far we’ve come.”

Carden gave a debut to Blackpool loanee Caleb Richards and praised his performance as "outstanding."

"Adam Carden had a bit of a tight hamstring so we gave Caleb his debut at right back," he said.

"He's usually a left-sided player, so he was outstanding considering he was out of position.

"For an 18-year-old to come in and perform how he did was fantastic."
