WARRINGTON-BASED showjumper Rebecca Marsh is celebrating after scooping a prestigious title.
When competing at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead last week, Marsh beat off competition from 23 rivals to claim the SEIB Winter Novice Championship.
Having secured their place in the final reckoning via qualifiers in October, the team of Marsh and 10-year-old bay mare Predator Ridge continued their good form together.
They produced clear runs in the first round and the jump-off, meaning they recorded no jumping or time faults.
Marsh’s time of 42.32secs proved unbeatable and she finished 1.35secs ahead of nearest rival Alister Hippisley-Gatherum.
