WARRINGTON Athletics Club repeated an opening day victory when the UK Youth Development League campaign resumed at Sportcity on Saturday.
They pipped Deeside to top spot.
Ashley Nemits won the under 15s girls’ 300m in a personal best of 41.7secs, then finished second over 200m in 26.1secs – another lifetime best.
Niamh Allen’s hammer throw of 16.15m secured first place too.
Among the under 13s, Meg Corker climbed to the top of the UK rankings after winning the girls’ 70m hurdles in 11.1secs before adding a victory in the long jump.
Olivia Chamun won the shot, while Molly Wormald was fastest over 1,200 in 4mins 24.9secs.
Lucas Hayes and Jack Garner won the under 15s boys’ 80m hurdles A and B races respectively, while Tom McKean took first place in the B long jump.
The latter two joined forces with Daniel Hardman and Jadon Allen to win the 4x100m relay too.
Ben Harthill ranked first in the under 13s boys’ long jump, as did Dominiks Norviss in the B high jump.
* NICK Jones was third in the men’s over 40 age category during Friday’s Christleton 5K, timing 15mins 15secs.
He was followed to the finish by fellow clubmate Jack Green in 16mins 10secs.
* MERVYN Ward took first prize in the men’s over 60s age category after completing the Chester Half Marathon in 1hr 27mins and 55secs on Sunday.
* JAMES Gladman set a season-best time of 21.57secs on his way to victory in the men’s invitation 200m at the Loughborough International on Sunday afternoon.
