ASHTON Sims will miss Wolves’ Magic Weekend clash with Wigan Warriors after being hit with a ban from the RFL.
The Fiji international has been banned for one game and fined £300 for intentionally standing on Widnes winger Patrick Ah Van in the 63rd minute of yesterday’s Challenge Cup victory over the Vikings.
Sims pleaded guilty to the Grade B charge, which carried a recommended ban of one to two games.
Another incident involving Sims was also reviewed, but the RFL’s Match Review Panel did not see fit to bring about a dangerous contact charge from the 24th-minute incident involving Widnes prop Jack Buchanan.
Wire skipper Chris Hill has also escaped with a caution after a 66th-minute strike on Vikings interchange Danny Walker that led to a mass brawl.
