Heysham Atoms 20 Latchford Albion 22
COACH Lee Smith says Latchford Albion are “a force to be reckoned with” in the North West Men’s League Premier Division after back-to-back away wins.
Chris Griffiths’ crossed twice for Albion in their win at Heysham on Saturday, with Adam Wood and Lewis Johnston also crossing.
George Briggs added three conversions for Latchford and Smith thinks his side’s form can only get better.
“Our last two games have both been away to established Premier Division sides and we have come away with two victories,” he said.
“It shows we can compete at this level and this squad is getting better with each game.
“We just need to continue this momentum and we will be a force to be reckoned with.”
Albion host Widnes West Bank at Victoria Park in their next game on Saturday, May 6, on a day that also sees the club’s Alliance side play its first game against Flintshire Falcons.
