WARRINGTON Hockey Club’s men’s second team kept their hopes of avoiding relegation alive with a 4-1 win over Fylde’s seconds.

After going a goal down early on, a quick double from Rich Hannibal turned the tables before goals from Doug Samuels and Chris Ashworth sealed their victory.

The women’s first team also gained a valuable win as Jayne Buck converted Sally Fraser’s cross to secure a 1-0 victory over Macclesfield’s firsts.

However, the men’s first team were beaten 3-0 at Fylde’s firsts while the women’s seconds won their game against Wrexham via a concession.
