AFTER a mystery bug swept through the team, Grange were down to the bare bones at Haydock and came home with a 3-1 defeat.

Despite being down on numbers, they dominated early on and took the lead through Ryan Wilde but the hosts came back to win.

They were knocked off the top of the Premier Division in the process, overtaken by Thatto Heath.

The club’s reserves beat Blackburn United 3-0 in the Northern Cup.

In Division Four, Bruche beat neighbours Crosfields 4-2 thanks to a Mike Dalton double and one each for Thomas Perrins and Mike Carlin.
