NEW Wolves signing Dom Crosby says the team’s exciting brand of rugby played a big part in tempting him to join the club.

The 25-year-old prop forward completed a move to The Wire from Wigan on Tuesday having helped the Warriors beat his new side in the Super League Grand Final on October 8.

The powerful front-rower is one of two new signings announced this week along with the capture of St Helens forward Andre Savelio.

Crosby, who will be best man at the wedding of new teammate Jack Hughes next month, has penned a two-year deal at The Halliwell Jones Stadium and says the move will help develop his game.

“I’m good mates with a few of the current Warrington boys and I’ve heard nothing but great things about the club,” he said.

“I’m delighted and honoured to be joining Warrington. It’s a big club with a lot of history.

“I really like the brand of rugby they play and I’m hoping their style will help develop my game further.”

The Wire’s head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith also expressed his delight with the deal and praised Crosby’s work ethic.

“He’s come from a successful programme and is looking for a change,” he said.

“He’s a player I’ve admired for some time and I know he has a great attitude towards training and has a very competitive nature.

“I think he has the potential to develop into a fantastic player for us; he has a wide range of skills and is very ambitious.”

Warrington-raised 21-year-old Savelio, who can play both prop and second row, joins on a one-year deal.

The club had already secured the re-signings of Mike Cooper and Matty Blythe ahead of next season.
