LYMM rider Sean Neary finished the Ducati TriOptions Cup season in style by scooping a double victory at Brands Hatch on Sunday.

The Lymm rider and his Zoek Racing team knew nothing other than two wins at the Kent circuit would secure for him a runners-up prize, and that’s exactly what he delivered.

After moving up from third to win the first race, he dominated from start to finish in the second to overtake Rob Guiver in the final riders’ standings.

He finished the campaign with 289 points, just five behind the competition’s newly-crowned champion Leon Morris.

The second race victory was Neary’s third in a row, and he did not hide his delight after stepping off the podium.

“I still cannot believe that we did the double to win both races and make it three in a row,” he said.

“I couldn’t be happier for the whole Zoek Racing team and all the people that help me.

“I have to say a massive thank you to them all.

“We will be back again next year to try to get that number one plate!”

After qualifying for the first race in third position, securing a front-row starting spot on the grid, Neary made his move on the second lap and took the lead.

Positions changed regularly throughout the eight-lap event, but he kept his head to win by just under a second ahead of Morris.

That meant he started the second sprint from pole position, and he produced a supreme performance to lead from start to finish to finish the season in the best possible way.
