STUDENTS from Cheshire Martial Arts Centre took part in the recent Federation of English Karate Organisations (FEKO) National Championships, returning with a clutch of medals.
Jess Bate won gold in the over 16s girls’ black belt individual kata, while Joe Eccleston took first prize in the children’s individual kata and silver in the under 15s boys’ category.
Grace Barnett narrowly missed out in the children’s kata and kumite finals.
Meanwhile Rebecca Cameron, not pictured, won two medals; silver in the over 18s girls’ female kumite and bronze in the team rotation kumite for the same age group.
