WATCH out for Ben Westwood and Ryan Atkins breaking records on Saturday.

If stalwart 35-year-old England international Westwood gains selection in the Wembley showpiece against Hull FC, he will equal the club record for number of appearances in a Challenge Cup Final.

And if ‘Super Bennie’ plays and Wolves win, he will become the first player in the history of The Wire to represent the club in four Challenge Cup Final triumphs.

He has three finals under his belt from the wins in 2009 against Huddersfield Giants, 2010 and 2012 against Leeds Rhinos.

The other players to have represented Warrington in four Challenge Cup Finals are Jack Fish, Danny Isherwood and Alf Boardman (1901, 1904, 1905, 1907), and George Thomas (1904, 1905, 1907, 1913).

Meanwhile Atkins is in great try-scoring form and could write his name into the record books.

He has three Challenge Cup Final tries to his name in primrose and blue, having crossed the line twice in the 2010 decider and once in the 2012 showdown.

One more four-pointer will see him equal the current Wire best of four by Chris Hicks, who scored once versus Huddersfield in 2009 and three times against Leeds in 2010.

Two tries or more by Atkins against the Airlie Birds will hand the 28-year-old centre the club record.

Interestingly, and incredible though it seems, even though wonder winger Brian Bevan scored 740 tries for The Wire he never scored in any of his three Challenge Cup Final appearances.
