Penycae FC 1-1 Eagle Sports FC
EAGLE Sports turned in a positive performance in Mark Shaw's first game in charge, drawing 1-1 on their annual Wales trip, this year facing Penycae FC of the Welsh National League.
The visitors fielded a mixed squad and were the better side early on, with Ged McAllister having a chance before he was thwarted by the home keeper.
It was Eagle who took the lead when Nathan Gallagher struck home a well timed shot into the top corner after the ball had been deflected out to him.
The visitors held their lead until 10 minutes into second half when the home striker was allowed to turn and lift the ball over the head of Rasmus Neilsen in the Eagle goal.
McAllister had an effort cleared off the line, with both Ryan Bishop and Paul Gatenby going close for Eagle but it wasn't to be as the game ended all square on a warm day in Wrexham.
Team: Neilsen, R.Bishop, Chinn, G.Williams, S.Robinson, Nixon, Cook, Atkinson, Maher, Walker, McAllister. Subs: Gatenby, Stratulis, A.Moriarty, Wakefield, Hayes, Gallagher
