WOLVES duo Ben Currie and Kurt Gidley have been nominated for the Super League Player of the Month award for June.

Australian stand-off Gidley will be looking to win his second monthly award of the season after he scooped the prize for April, while England second rower Currie is nominated for the first time this season.

They face competition from Hull FC scrum-half Marc Sneyd, Wigan winger Josh Charnley and Catalans stand-off Todd Carney for the award.

Gidley has kicked the winning penalty in each of Wolves’ last two games, while Currie has one try and two assists this month.
