WARRINGTON riders were racing at Oulton Park in the Wirral Hundred Motor Club’s race meeting, with over 300 entries.
First up was Ben Ashcroft on his 125cc Aprilia in the 100 to 500cc Allcomers race.
Starting from 34th out of an allowed maximum of 40 riders, the racing in such a large number of experienced riders was going to be tough and Ashcroft finished in 31st overall in the first race. Ashcroft was not able to complete the second race.
Then it was the turn of John Potts and Neil Dutton on their sleek and low 980 MRE sidecar in the Post-Classic class for Sidecars. They were only able to race in the first of their two races and finished 21st overall.
Finally, Jake Wall’s turn came in the Formula 600 races on his 600cc Honda STK and he finished his two races in 34th and 35th places overall.
