TWO goals in the final 10 minutes saw Warrington Town snatch the points at Trafford on Monday as boss Shaun Reid was taken to hospital.

The Yellows, who exited the FA Cup at the first hurdle on Saturday, fought back from a goal down thanks to Scott Metcalfe and Jay McCarten efforts.

It was from a Metcalfe foul that Trafford took the lead in the second half, with Chris McDonagh beating Karl Wills from the spot on 67 minutes.

But the Town forward made up for it with seven minutes remaining when his in-swinging corner found its way into the corner of the hosts' net.

With five minutes left on the clock Town took the lead when Danny Ventre's corner was met by the head of McCarten, who flicked the ball past Trafford stopper Luke Pilling.

However the club's concern turned to boss Reid, who suffered a burst blood vessel in his upper neck and was forced to spend the night in Salford Royal Hospital.

A club statement reads: "We would like to thank everyone for all your concern and get well wishes for Shaun Reid.

"The family would like to be left alone at this moment in time and would appreciate if well wishes could refrain from posting on Facebook and Twitter."
