WOOLSTON Rovers return to action on Saturday when Stanningley visit Monks Sports Club in the Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Three.

Kick off is 2.30pm at Monks Sports Club, Hillock Lane, Woolston.

Rovers occupy fifth spot, four points behind fourth placed Stanningley with a game in hand, and will be looking to gain a victory that would put them within touching distance of their Leeds-based opponents.

Head coach John Fieldhouse is looking forward to getting his lads out on the field. He said: “It has been a bit stop-start so far this season with so many free weekends and that has made it difficult for us to get into any sort of rhythm.

"But we now have games for each of the next five weeks which will hopefully allow us to get a bit of consistency in our play.

"If we can get a win on Saturday then that would put us in good stead for the remaining games and should get us close to securing a play-off place.

"We have also suffered a number of serious injuries to key players but with a bit of luck we should get one or two back this weekend which will be a big boost for us.

"Stanningley have had some excellent results this season but I am confident that if we play anything like what we are capable of then we will be difficult to beat.

"We are refreshed and raring to go; these are the types of games that we like to be involved in and it should be an absolute cracker.”

Rovers A visit Bury Broncos in NWML Division Two.

They will be looking to get back to winning ways after a run of five league defeats on the spin.

Coach Mark Robinson said: “We haven’t done ourselves justice recently and we will be aiming to put things right this weekend at Bury.

"We know that they have been in good form of late but if we can get a strong squad together then I have every confidence that we can give a good account of ourselves and if we do that then we will have a great chance of getting the right result.”
