FOUR players, including Warrington Wolves prop Ashton Sims, have been charged with offences committed in Super 8s Round 3 matches at the weekend.

Sims has been charged with Grade B stamping on Wigan Warriors player Lee Mossop in the 27th minute.

Ben Pomeroy of Catalans Dragons has been charged with making a Grade E dangerous throw on Castleford Tigers player Ashley Gibson in the 29th minute.

Michael Sio of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats has been charged with making Grade B dangerous contact to the head or neck of Leigh Centurions player Greg McNally in the 62nd minute.

Kurt Haggerty of Leigh has been charged with Grade B reckless striking with the knees on Wakefield player Tim Smith in the 30th minute.

All four were charged after the incidents were viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel, which also issued a formal caution to Scott Taylor of Sheffield Eagles for making contact with his feet on Halifax’s Richard Moore while catching a kick in the 59th minute.

Sio has until 11.00am tomorrow (Tuesday August 25) to submit an Early Guilty Plea. Pomeroy, Sims and Haggerty do not have the option of submitting EGPs and will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal tomorrow evening.
