SKIPPER Jon Wilkin returns to Saints’19-man squad for the Super League Round 22 clash with Warrington Wolves at The Halliwell Jones Stadium tonight, Thursday, kick off 8pm.

Wilkin, who sat out last week with a minor injury, comes in for back row Mark Flanagan.

Both teams head into the fixture on the back of wins last time out, with St Helens sealing a narrow victory against Huddersfield Giants on Friday while The Wire beat bottom side Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Sunday.

A new arrival at Langtree Park, Australian full back Adam Quinlan scored a hat-trick on his debut as the hosts edged Giants 35-34.

But they have been in inconsistent form recently, shipping 46 points in a loss to Leeds Rhinos and a one-point defeat to Castleford Tigers in rounds preceding that Huddersfield success.

However Saints have taken the spoils from both meetings between tonight’s sides so far this season.

They beat Wolves 32-24 at Langtree Park in March, while also recording a 20-16 success against Tony Smith’s side at St James’ Park during Magic Weekend in May.

That saw Saints fight back from eight points down at half time.

Keiron Cunningham’s outfit are currently in second spot, knowing a win would see them leapfrog Leeds and go top of the table.
