PLAYERS, fans and the coach react to Warrington Wolves' loss against Huddersfield Giants on Friday.

Post-match interview:

Tony Smith: “There was a massive difference between us in terms of the kicking game, but other than that there wasn’t much difference.

"He (Danny Brough) kicked us to death."

Dr Julian Karswell: There have been a few comments comparing the current Wire squad with the magnificent one of 2011, and it's only when you look back at that squad that you realise the full extent of the talent drain that has happened over those four years. Brett Hodgson, Matt King, Lee Briers, Adrian Morley, Michael Monaghan, Garreth Carvell, Louis Anderson, Mike Cooper, Paul Wood and David Solomona, all gone and not adequately replaced. It has been a gradual slide but it is now getting increasingly noticeable. Add in the form dip of others from that squad that still remain and it's a real worry.

pennstate: Is it worth talking to Rob Burrow. He is soon to be out of contract and wants a starting place. Still a threat in open play and a wealth of experience. We are carrying some passengers at the moment and they should really move on for the sake of the team and allow room for some negotiations.

I did note the crowd only just hit 9000 on Friday and many of those who left early said they would not be returning unless we buy a playmaker.

If we were Wigan or Saints there would be a directors meeting this week!

JMB Old Hall: Can Tony Smith not see that in our team it is boys against seasonal professionals. Three seasons ago if you were aged 19 - 20 you could not get into the side, now his young forwards are playing week in week out without a break. Our pack used to dominate and bully the opposition packs now we are the ones being bullied. You need seasoned forwards and a top half back to compete in Super League. Tony Smith seems to think that moving players into different positions each week will change things.

Crofty11: Smith had a replacement for Briers...Myler, he's been playing along side Briers for the past few seasons, now smiths realised mylers a support player, & not briers replacement, O'brian been dropped in at the deep end , & out of his depth, need a half back to help & guide o'brian , & certainly not Bridge.

John Ettinger: Sorry Tony it wasnt just the kicking game that was the difference. They were also better with the ball in hand. Gaz O 'Brien shifts the ball out straightaway and doesnt take the line on at all.we are easy to defend against at the moment ,Huddersfield were average tonight and we were awful.void of ideas.

Martin Ducky Smith: danny brough for WIRE #spend spend spend

Brian Corley: Knew this would be the headline! He didn't make a break, all they did was kick, average team

Twitter:

Gareth O'Brien (@gazobrien22): Thanks for the support.. Stick with us.

Ryan Atkins (@rararyan85): Poor performance tonight but fair play Giants! They had a game plan & stuck to it. All the fans very vocal but the Giants mob never stopped

Daryl Clark (@Darylclark9): Disappointed with the performance last night looking forward to getting straight back out there Thursday night #widnesvwire
