LYMM Ladies sealed the South West North Hockey Women's League Division Two title on Saturday.

Crewe Vagrants' late forfeiture sealed for them an eighth title in nine years, one runners up spot.

They have two regular games left before heading into a three-game play-off in April with the other regional North Hockey winners in a bid to reach Division One.

It was a mixed weekend for Lymm Ladies' second team, who beat their Macclesfield counterparts 3-1 on Saturday after going a goal down.

They replied in the second half when Ellie Anderson set up Katy Arber, who added her second from a Beck Pilkington pass soon after.

Arber then sealed her hat-trick.

However, it was defeat on Sunday for Lymm seconds at Bromley & Beckenham in the England Hockey 2s Plate competition.

Sally Bircham found Lizzie McDonoughfor Lymm's only goal in a 3-1 defeat.

n WARRINGTON men drew 3-3 with Didsbury Northern's fourths.

Ben Vickers scored a clever goal and Mike Jones smashed home a volley to level before half time.

Jones scored again to give Warrington a lead which they hung onto until four minutes from time when Didsbury equalised.

The men’s second team beat Northop Hall seconds 2-0 to secure third place in the division.

Mike Vickers and Matt Pettit were on target while keeper Richard Bloomfield saved a penalty stroke to keep his goals conceded tally down to 10 goals in 19 games.

Warrington women’s firsts sealed the double over league leaders Neston seconds with a 1-0 win.

Steph Rawlins scored with a bullet-like strike for Warrington.

The seconds lost 2-1 to Neston thirds, Vicky Stout on target.
