AFTER one look at marquee signing Daryl Clark in primrose and blue on Sunday, Chris Bridge is excited to be playing alongside him in 2015 and beyond.

Bridge, who reported no ill effects from a 25-minute spell against Hull KR on his return from an abductor injury, said he expects the England hooker to kick-on even further this season.

“He’s just so fast and elusive in his footwork,” said Bridge of a player judged by his peers as the best in Super League while with Castleford Tigers last term.

“Any quick play-the-balls and I think he is just going to murder teams.

“He has done at Cas, and with the way we play the game I think he’s going to go to the next level."

“That’s some way to go after he got the Man of Steel Award last season, but he’s going to kick on again.”

The Hull KR friendly was the start of a Testimonial campaign marking Bridge’s 10 years with the club.

“I’d like to thank everyone who braved the elements to come out for my game,” he said.

“It’s been emotional, walking out on to the field with my daughter (Anais).

“I’d like to thank the club too. It’s been a privilege to play for Warrington for 10 years and I’m really proud to be here.

“The support of the fans means the world to me. Let’s not just make it my year, but yours too.”

He believes the current squad is “up there” with the club's best.

“There’s competition in every spot and nobody’s guaranteed a place,” he said.
