Cheshire Wire Green 23 Oldham Titans 86
IN the under 13s National Basketball League, Cheshire Wire Green suffered their third defeat of the season with a loss to Oldham Titans.
They got off to a better start than in previous games, but quickly succumbed to poor decision making and an inability to do the basics well.
They were soon behind their opponents and by half time they were trailing 42-9.
The third quarter was a little more encouraging as a more competitive Cheshire Wire Green performance saw them lose it by 19 to 10.
The fourth quarter was a similar story to the first half as once again they found it difficult to do the basics well and fail to play to the plan and by the end of the match Oldham Titans had run out comfortable winners by 86-23.
Elsewhere, the Wire under 15s beat Barrow 117-23, under 16s beat Birmingham 87-62, 18s Conference were beaten away at Stockport 85-66 and the 18s Prem side arrived home late on Sunday night after beating a strong Northants side 73-64.
